Your contributions to fusion engineering reflect years of hard work and dedication. Please see below for instructions/specifications to ensure that your presentation goes smoothly.
ORAL PRESENTERS
Use 16:9 aspect ratio for your slides and save your presentation in PowerPoint (*.pptx) or export as a PDF.
Have your slides on a USB thumb drive and arrive at least 20 minutes prior to the start of the session so you can load your presentation on a computer (Mac laptop) that is identical to those.
Presenters will not be able to use their own computers. They should hand their USB sticks to a member of the A/V staff so they can load them onto the room's computer.
There is a "speaker ready room" on the bottom floor of Kresge with an identical laptop and projector for testing of presentations/videos. Follow the signs past Little Kresge to find the speaker room.
Plenary talks are 50 minutes + 10 minutes for questions.
Invited talks are 25 minutes + 5 minutes for questions.
Contributed talks are 17 minutes + 3 minutes for questions.
POSTER PRESENTERS
Maximum Poster dimensions: 70" wide x 36" tall (177cm x 91cm) (landscape orientation)
Posters will be displayed on partitions and mounted with tacks. Please do not have your poster mounted on foam board.
MIT CopyTech is standing by to assist with any print requests (including large format posters). Upload your poster online using their e-printing service. The cost to print is roughly $120USD and you can pick up your printed poster on campus.
